A: Our office and warehouse are located at 5 Firestone Drive in Suffield, CT 06078.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Our office is open Monday thru Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm. Our warehouse pick-up hours are Monday thru Friday, from 10am to 3pm.
Q: Where can I download a catalog?
A: We do not have a downloadable catalog, however you can browse our online catalog and print (or download) any information, as necessary.
Q: How do I get a quote?
A: For a general quote, please click on “request for quote” near the top of the home page and provide us all relevant information. For a specific item quote, please go to our online catalog and find the item you’re interested in, and then click “request quote” near the top of the item page.
Q: If I place an order today, when will it be shipped?
A: For orders placed Monday thru Friday (excluding holidays) of in-stock items: if placed before noon, it will most likely ship same day, but no later than the next business day; if placed after noon, we will make every effort to ship same day, but it will more likely ship on the next business day. For orders placed on Saturday or Sunday of in-stock items, your order should ship Monday (excluding holidays). For orders placed on holidays, your order should ship on the next available business day.
Q: How will my order be shipped?
A: If you choose to have us ship your order, it will ship via UPS Ground. If you need us to ship another way, please contact us by email at sales@championcontainer.com.
Q: How can I check my order status and track my order?
A: You can email us (sales@championcontainer.com) anytime. If you’ve placed your order online, please have your order number for quick reference.
Q: Where can I pick up my merchandise?
A: At our warehouse, located at 5 Firestone Drive in Suffield, CT 06078. Our pick-up hours are 10am-3pm, and once you place your order, it is available for pick-up on the next business day (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays).
Q: Are there any order minimums?
A: Yes, there is a total order minimum of $50 (excluding freight charges). Also, although some items can be ordered in single-unit quantities, other items can only be ordered in case quantities. When you click on each item in our online catalog, the item minimums will be listed accordingly.
Q: How will I know if an item I purchased is on back order?
A: You will be notified within 24 hours via e-mail if you placed your order online. If you placed your order over the phone, you will be advised when your order will be available
Q: What are your payment terms?
A: Credit terms are considered on a case-by-case basis for orders over $1,000.00. Please contact us to discuss this further.
Q: Do you charge sales tax?
A: If you pick up or if we ship to a Connecticut address, sales tax will be charged, unless you have a tax-exempt/resale number. We do not charge sales tax on orders shipping outside of Connecticut.

Q: Do you offer discounts for large users?
A: Yes. You can either “request a quote” through the website by specifying the quantity or you can contact us to discuss further – by email at sales@championcontainer.com.
Q: What is your merchandise return policy?
A: Unopened/unused product can be returned or exchanged, although a 20 % restocking fee will be applied. Outbound freight will not be credited. Return freight costs will not be paid by AB Container.
Q: What is a continuous thread cap?
A: A continuous thread cap closes on a bottle or jar with one full turn of the cap … unlike a lug cap which closes on a bottle or jar with a one-quarter turn of the cap.
Q: What is a lug cap?
A: A lug cap closes on a bottle or jar with only a one-quarter turn of the cap… unlike a continuous thread cap which closes on a bottle or jar with a full turn of the cap. For a lug cap, the threads on the matching container will not be continuous.
Q. What is “Neck Finish”?
A. Neck finish is used to match fit between caps and containers (usually bottles or jars). The neck finish of the cap needs to match the neck finish of the container in order to ensure the proper fit and closure.
For continuous thread packaging, the neck finish is the diameter and height of the cap that will fit on the container. The first number (usually falls between 15 and 120, measured in millimeters) is the diameter of the opening of the container, and thus the diameter of the cap that will fit onto that container. The second number (usually falls between 400 and 430) is indicative of the height of the thread on the container, and thus the height of the cap that will fit onto the container. The higher this number, the taller the cap.
For lug packaging, the neck finish is just the diameter of the cap (measured in millimeters).
For example, the “38/400” neck finish indicates a continuous thread package that requires a container with a 38/400 finish as well as a cap with a 38/400 finish. Conversely, the “38 mm lug” neck finish indicates a lug package that requires a container with a 38 mm lug finish as well as a cap with a 38 mm lug finish. A lug cap will not fit on a continuous thread container, and a continuous thread cap will not fit on a lug container.
Q: What is the difference between a bottle and a jar?
A: A bottle usually has a neck opening of 38mm or smaller. A jar has a neck opening of 43mm or larger.
Q: What is the difference between a tight head and an open head?
A: A “tight head” (or closed head) container does not have a cover that comes off the container. A tighthead will only offer one (or two) bungs or openings where product can be filled or dispensed. An “open head” container does have a cover that comes off the container – so that product can be filled or dispensed by removing the entire cover. In most cases, open head covers are offered with or without pour spouts – depending on your specific needs.
Q: What is the difference between a plastic tub and a plastic pail?
A: A plastic tub generally refers to a container that does not have a handle and is smaller in volume and/or thinner in wall thickness, when compared to a plastic pail.

A: A jug is a bottle with a molded handle.
